Responsible Pharmacist (Thursday-Monday - Part Time)

Location: Onsite in Wallingford, United Kingdom; part-time or full-time work is scheduled from Thursday to Monday, or as compressed hours from Thursday to Sunday.

What you will do

• Follow standard operating procedures, operational guidelines, and pharmacy practice standards.
• Support the Superintendent Pharmacist in developing, implementing, and maintaining pharmacy procedures.
• Work with the Head of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager to run the pharmacy and deputise during the manager’s absence.
• Check dispensed prescriptions, send orders through couriers, and coordinate timely dispatch with internal service teams.
• Manage pharmacy near misses, create action plans, and work with the Risk and Safety team to resolve incidents.
• Support workforce training, compounded medicine supply, inventory management, service development, and patient experience improvements.

Requirements

• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• High levels of professional expertise and strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and national and local services.
• Excellent face-to-face communication skills with customers and patients.
• Collaborative, team-centred approach and a passion for providing high-quality pharmacy care.
• Availability for onsite work in Wallingford across Thursday to Monday, or compressed hours from Thursday to Sunday.
