Medical Coder (AI)

Location: Remote

Salary: $40–$125+ per hour, depending on task difficulty and specialization.

What you will do

• Write prompts testing ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS assignment accuracy from real clinical documentation.
• Review AI-generated coding for incorrect or unspecified codes, modifier errors, missed NCCI edits, and unsupported E&M levels.
• Evaluate the quality of the model’s coding reasoning.
• Write correct coding assignments based on documentation and current coding guidelines.

Requirements

• Hands-on medical coding experience.
• Fluency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines and payer edits.
• Clear written English for explaining coding decisions.
• Experience as a Medical Coder, Coding Auditor, or Medical Billing Specialist is relevant.
• A CPC or CCS credential is preferred; no degree is required.
