Operations Engineer (Hadoop)

Location: Hybrid work from offices in Gdynia, Gdańsk, Warszawa, or Łódź, Poland; 3 days per week from the office

Salary: 500–900 PLN/day on B2B

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain data-source ingestion configurations using the ARC Ingestion Framework.
• Test and validate configurations before deployment.
• Support onboarding of new data sources into the Hadoop environment.
• Monitor and maintain production data sources.
• Troubleshoot ingestion issues and identify root causes.
• Work with Linux/Unix environments, command-line tools, and Jenkins-based CI/CD processes.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments.
• Good knowledge of SQL and practical experience with Git.
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with applications, configurations, and technical environments in an agile setting.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with software or configuration testing.
• Basic knowledge of Hadoop and Python.
• Experience with Robot Framework.
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Helix.
• Previous experience in data ingestion, data operations, or production support.
