System Test Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Hybrid from Kraków, Poland, with 3 days per week from the office

Salary: 700–1000 PLN/day on a B2B contract

What you will do

• Analyze system and design requirements and translate them into test strategies and test cases aligned with ASPICE processes.
• Prepare and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop test plans for system, integration, and functional verification.
• Design and execute system qualification, hardware-software integration, and system element integration tests.
• Execute tests, analyze results, ensure coverage, and document release verification outcomes.
• Identify, document, and track hardware and software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to investigate issues, validate fixes, and improve testing methods and tools.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of microcontroller hardware, electric motors, automotive electronics, electrical circuits, and CAN communication.
• Good knowledge of C and Python, with basic understanding of MATLAB/Simulink and Simscape models.
• Experience with or familiarity with HIL testing tools such as CANoe, CANape, NI VeriStand, TestStand, ControlDesk NG, or ConfigurationDesk NG.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, plus experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent English is required; willingness to travel domestically and internationally and openness to second-shift hours are expected.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety and ISO 21434 Cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR concepts and Software-in-the-Loop testing.
• Experience with Jira, Polarion, Plastic SCM, or Bitbucket.
• German and/or French language skills.
