Embedded Systems Test Engineer

Location: Krakow, Poland; Warsaw, Poland; or remote within Poland. Flexible hybrid working model is available.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web, mobile, desktop, and embedded systems.
• Write automated tests using Python, Java, C++, or similar languages and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define test strategies, manage functional and non-functional test coverage, and validate new features and changes.
• Build and maintain test environments for software and embedded-system testing, including firmware, device drivers, and telematics hardware.
• Validate hardware-software integration, real-time performance, memory constraints, scalability, reliability, and safety.
• Monitor test results and logs, automate issue tracking and log scraping, and collaborate with developers, product managers, and technical teams.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in QA automation, manual, security, performance, or Agile testing, or in developing hardware-firmware automation frameworks with Python and pytest.
• At least 1 year of experience in embedded development and low-level programming, preferably C.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Solid knowledge of software development, QA practices, automated unit, integration, system, power, performance, and stress testing.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and strong written communication, organization, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
• Work must be based in Poland for the listed Krakow, Warsaw, or remote-Poland arrangements.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitLab pipelines, SCRUM, RTOS, Linux, GCP, BigQuery, or SQL.
