IP Docketing Specialist (Trademark, Copyright, & Advertising)

Location: San Diego, United States; hybrid schedule with regular in-office presence and residence within commuting distance of a hirify.global office

Salary: $39.50–$58.00 per hour ($82,160–$120,640 annually)

hirify.global is a law firm with an IP Services team supporting intellectual property prosecution and docketing operations.

What you will do

• Perform daily docketing and de-docketing for US and foreign intellectual property matters.
• Process correspondence between clients, foreign associates, government IP offices, practitioners, paralegals, and specialists.
• Review PTO filings and electronic filing notices from the USPTO.
• Research intellectual property status and history across USPTO, WIPO, EPO, and other databases.
• Prepare data, reports, and charts from the IP Management System.
• Track critical deadlines, follow up on outstanding actions, and apply quality-control checks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant intellectual property experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, and other firm applications after orientation.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, project management, and customer service skills.
• Availability to work overtime when required.
• Ability to work on a hybrid schedule while remaining within commuting distance of a hirify.global office.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous law firm experience.
• Experience with USPTO TSDR, TESS, ID Manual, WIPO Madrid Monitor, EUIPO eSearch, TMview, and other public IP databases.
• Working knowledge of USPTO procedures, 37 C.F.R., and the Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure.
