What you will do

• Lead faculty workforce planning, staffing allocation, workload coordination, utilisation monitoring, and cover arrangements across academic schools.
• Coordinate recruitment, selection, onboarding, induction, probation, and offboarding activities for faculty staff.
• Manage day-to-day faculty operations, including one-to-one meetings, performance actions, attendance, wellbeing, and informal employee relations matters.
• Coordinate staff development, mandatory training, engagement initiatives, feedback mechanisms, and career progression support.
• Monitor compliance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, mandatory training, OfS requirements, partner requirements, and institutional regulations.
• Support Deans, Heads of Programme, and Programme Leaders with the operational implementation of decisions affecting teaching delivery, programme administration, and student experience.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in faculty, workforce, people, or academic operations management.
• Experience coordinating recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, workload management, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Ability to manage performance, wellbeing, attendance, informal employee relations, and compliance matters in partnership with Human Resources.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Deans, Heads of Programme, Programme Leaders, Human Resources, Quality, and operational teams.
• Successful applicants must complete pre-employment checks, including a criminal records check, two references, identity and Right to Work verification, and education confirmation.
• Academic standards, curriculum, assessment, teaching quality, and academic decisions remain the responsibility of academic leadership rather than the Faculty Manager.
