Application Engineer (.NET/SQL)

What you will do

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, focusing on third-party vendor software for the shipping business and in-house integrations.
• Analyze IT systems and processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Design and implement IT solutions in collaboration with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Gather and document system requirements, perform testing and validation, and maintain system documentation.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support and training to end users.
• Ensure data security and compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience developing or supporting solutions with Microsoft .NET, SQL, and Power Platform.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain business and technical information to diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with vendor management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Experience with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with integration patterns such as APIs and messaging.
• Knowledge of shipping systems or platforms including Boss, VIP (Veson), and Voyager Portal.
