Location: San Francisco, Sunnyvale, New York City, or Seattle offices, United States

Salary: $130,600–$192,000, $159,800–$235,000, or $193,800–$285,000 USD annually, depending on market and qualifications.

hirify.global operates an on-demand logistics platform connecting consumers, merchants, and delivery couriers.

What you will do

• Conduct applied machine learning and artificial intelligence research for hirify.global engineering teams.
• Develop research ideas and machine learning models that improve discovery, advertising, forecasting, fulfillment, and search experiences.
• Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to generate insights and support model development.
• Research areas including auction systems, game theory, recommender systems, ranking, ad technology, computer vision, causal inference, graph analysis, and big data analytics.
• Write clean, efficient, and sustainable code while collaborating with engineers, researchers, and external partners.

Requirements

• Working toward a PhD in Computer Science, machine learning, natural language processing, statistics, information sciences, or a related field.
• Expected graduation between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
• Mastery of at least one systems language: Java, C++, Python, Kotlin, or Go; or one machine learning framework: TensorFlow, PyTorch, or MLflow.
• Research experience and demonstrated ability to solve analytical problems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with an interest in applied machine learning and the hirify.global product.

• Publications in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, data analytics, statistics, or related technical fields.
