Machine Learning Scientist II - Supply Chain AI

Location: Hybrid position based in Boston, Massachusetts, United States; in-office Tuesday–Thursday and remote Monday and Friday.

Annual base salary: $176,000–$184,250, excluding equity and other compensation.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain large-scale machine learning models that deliver business impact.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, relationships, and features for model training.
• Collaborate with product managers, commercial stakeholders, and engineering partners to develop ML solutions.
• Define success metrics and build evaluation frameworks for assessing model output quality.
• Develop solutions for supply chain and post-order customer experience, including delivery prediction and operational optimization.

Requirements

• PhD with 0–1+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of full-time industry experience in applied research.
• Experience delivering machine learning projects from conception through production, including deployment, maintenance, and problem-solving.
• Professional Python coding skills and proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and version control best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work in the Boston hybrid arrangement with regular office attendance.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GCP, AWS, or Azure; MLOps tools such as feature stores and MLflow; and orchestration tools such as Kubeflow or Airflow.
• Experience with Docker, causal inference, multi-armed bandits, personalization, or large language models.
