Advanced Software Engineer for Linux

Location: Hybrid remote/on-site in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States; active Secret clearance required.

Salary: $85,000–$101,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain efficient software applications and related engineering solutions.
• Develop Linux applications for embedded systems and apply embedded Linux debugging techniques.
• Design next-generation cryptographic solutions as part of a cross-functional team.
• Collaborate with technical teams to integrate solutions and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead software development activities and provide technical leadership.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least three years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing Linux applications for embedded systems.
• Strong embedded Linux debugging skills and the ability to propose high-quality, high-performance solutions with minimal input.
• Ability to apply technical standards and methodologies, lead software development, and support collaborative team success.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vitis, PetaLinux, or Xilinx SoC platforms, including Zynq UltraScale+ and Versal.
• Experience with software-defined radio or satellite applications.
• Experience with Secure Red/Black Separation architecture.
• Experience using Docker and Podman on Linux.
• Experience with Wind River Linux.
