TL;DR
Intern-Quality Assurance (CLS) (Clinical Laboratory Quality Assurance): Supporting quality oversight for clinical trial operations with an accent on ISO 15189 standards, quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and audit management. Focus on learning Veeva QMS, assisting with sponsor audits and NMPA inspections, and developing analytical problem-solving skills in a medical laboratory environment.
Location: SIMZ Pudong, Shanghai, China; full-time onsite
Internship duration: 20 weeks, from January to May 2027.

What you will do
- Support quality oversight of clinical trial operations and compliance with laboratory and corporate quality procedures.
- Develop practical knowledge of ISO 15189 standards, accreditation preparation, and medical laboratory quality management systems.
- Learn audit and inspection management practices in the pharmaceutical and clinical trial sectors.
- Gain hands-on experience with Veeva QMS and regulatory requirements related to NMPA inspections.
- Collaborate with quality and compliance professionals and assist with sponsor audit activities.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, life sciences, medical laboratory technology, immunology, or a related field.
- Final-year students expected to graduate in July 2027 are preferred; students at all academic levels may apply.
- At least three months of experience using computer and office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organization, multitasking, communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-performance environment with attention to detail and initiative.
Nice to have
- Foundational laboratory knowledge and interest in pharmaceutical R&D, clinical research, biotechnology, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, clinical trials, or bioanalytical sciences.
- Strong English reading and writing skills, with CET-6 or equivalent certification.
- Proactive, self-confident, responsible, and motivated to learn and develop.
