Senior Product Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California; in-person in the office 5 days a week

Salary: $275,000–$325,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Explore emerging spatial model capabilities with researchers and identify valuable product workflows.
• Own model behavior in products, including prompting, conditioning, parameter selection, orchestration, and failure-mode diagnosis.
• Build evaluations that measure whether users receive useful results from nondeterministic systems.
• Ship backend and orchestration systems, public APIs, SDKs, and user-facing products.
• Work directly with users and own product quality and reliability after launch.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership across full-stack development.
• Experience shipping a production API or application based on generative models and owning end-to-end output quality.
• Strong backend or systems depth combined with the ability to work through user-facing product layers.
• Experience building or using evaluations for nondeterministic systems.
• Experience collaborating with researchers and translating product evidence into precise capability requirements.
• Ability to work in person from the San Francisco office 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• 3D, graphics, or computer vision experience.
• Public API or SDK experience.
• Fine-tuning, LoRA, or adapter experience.
• Founding or early-engineer experience.
