Associate Analyst / Analyst (Energy and Natural Resources)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the local office or onsite with clients.

What you will do

• Apply economic and quantitative skills to regulated industries and complex issues across multiple jurisdictions.
• Evaluate climate change and energy policies, including emissions, renewable energy, and energy efficiency measures.
• Assess the economic impacts, costs, benefits, and social effects of government policies and regulations.
• Conduct auction design and simulation, competitor analysis, and pricing system development for transport infrastructure.
• Prepare research reports, expert reports, client presentations, and oral and written submissions for litigation and international arbitration matters.
• Collaborate with in-house experts and external academics while developing project, people management, and internal training skills.

Requirements

• BA or BSc and a Master’s or PhD in Economics with an exceptional academic record.
• Interest in microeconomics and quantitative research; specialisms in microeconomics, industrial organization, econometrics, or finance are particularly relevant.
• Comfort working with Excel, Stata, R, Python, or other quantitative software platforms.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, attention-to-detail, and communication skills.
• Strong written and spoken English is required.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Spanish, French, or Italian.
• Experience or interest in energy, natural resources, environmental policy, regulation, infrastructure, finance, litigation, or arbitration.
