Quality Automation Engineer (Python/Playwright)

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office

What you will do

• Develop and maintain test automation code and frameworks.
• Review and contribute to functional specifications, design specifications, and related documentation.
• Execute and automate long-running, scale, reliability, security, regression, and performance test cases.
• Report test results and collaborate with Product Management, Customer Support, and Platform Engineering.
• Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to new team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Science or Engineering from a recognized and accredited university or college.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience developing and supporting automation test frameworks from the ground up.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle, software testing methodologies, test planning, and test execution.
• Strong coding skills in Python and Playwright, with experience using Pytest.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git or GitLab, Jenkins, Linux, virtual machines, virtualization technologies, and scale or performance testing tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
