Accounting Operations Manager

Location: Urbandale, Iowa, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance expected at least two days per week

What you will do

• Supervise, mentor, and support accounting operations professionals and supervisors.
• Set team goals, assign responsibilities, review work, and drive delivery of near-term operational results.
• Provide input on hiring, performance, promotion, and rewards decisions for direct reports.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors while influencing cross-functional adoption of policies and best practices.
• Identify inefficiencies, design process and system improvements, and monitor their impact.
• Analyze complex operational issues and communicate solutions across organizational levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience.
• Experience directly supervising and mentoring accounting or finance operations supervisors.
• Strong resource prioritization, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Experience with process improvement, multi-location collaboration, controls, compliance, and audit support.
