Investment Alternatives Specialist - Real Estate

Location: Sydney, Australia; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office or onsite with clients

What you will do

• Support portfolio management across primarily Australian real estate investments, including transaction underwriting, due diligence, asset management, portfolio analysis, and client reporting.
• Conduct manager research on real estate opportunities and contribute to thought leadership across relevant sub-asset classes.
• Contribute specialist insights to strategic asset allocation decisions and produce high-quality research deliverables with limited supervision.
• Provide technical support and advice on alternatives investments to client-facing consulting colleagues.
• Own real estate reporting deliverables and support new business activities, investor meetings, and industry conferences.

Requirements

• Appropriate approval to work in Australia is required.
• At least two years of experience in investment, funds management, advisory, or direct property.
• Strong understanding of the macroeconomic environment and its implications for real estate investors.
• Experience with indirect and/or direct real estate, including funds, co-investments, or separately managed accounts.
• Knowledge of the superannuation industry and its key stakeholders.
• Strong quantitative, research, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with careful attention to detail.

• Postgraduate degree or relevant professional qualification such as CFA, RICS, or CAIA.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptability, self-motivation, teamwork, and interest in specialising in real estate and alternative investments.
