Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office or onsite with clients.

What you will do

• Embed with client teams to understand workflows and translate business problems into AI opportunities.
• Design, build, test, deploy, and iterate AI solutions in live production environments.
• Set technical direction and make architectural decisions for integrations, access, hosting, security, and data.
• Prove value at small scale, productise successful solutions, and develop a pipeline of new use cases.
• Help clients build internal capabilities while mentoring and developing other engineers.
• Track AI and technology trends and apply technical innovation to complex business challenges.

Requirements

• Excellent programming and system design skills with recent hands-on Python experience and ideally C#/.NET, Java, Rust, or C++.
• Experience taking AI or machine learning systems into production, including LLMs, prompt design, agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, and retrieval pipelines.
• Strong engineering background in APIs, integrations, SQL, Azure or AWS, version control, CI/CD, security, and access management.
• Ability to own ambiguous projects end to end and make sound build-versus-buy decisions.
• Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Undergraduate degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
