What you will do
- Conduct chemical and physical analyses of hazardous and non-hazardous samples from production batches, raw materials, and expired products.
- Use wet chemistry, analytical balances, vacuum ovens, calorimeters, distillation apparatuses, and other laboratory equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting for laboratory instruments.
- Document and communicate test data, findings, and observations through reports and data management systems.
- Collaborate with laboratory and research personnel to develop, validate, and refine analytical methods.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory, handle hazardous substances correctly, and support continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 2 years of experience involving laboratory analysis of materials.
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques, laboratory instrumentation, safety standards, and hazardous-material handling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Must work onsite in Texarkana, Texas; approximately 5% travel may be required.
Nice to have
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials science, or a related technical field.
- Experience with method development, validation, and continuous improvement.
