Technical Product Manager (Chemistry IT Systems)

Location: Hybrid role based in Beerse, Belgium or Spring House, Pennsylvania, United States; additional listed locations include San Diego/La Jolla, California, United States.

Base pay: $102,000–$177,100 per year.

What you will do

• Deliver global cheminformatics and discovery informatics platforms for Innovative Medicine research.
• Define, evaluate, implement, and champion data-driven scientific IT approaches across discovery sciences.
• Lead portfolio and product strategy, including roadmap development, risk and budget management, gap analysis, and performance improvement.
• Translate scientific stakeholder needs into scalable technology capabilities, integrated data flows, and enterprise product roadmaps.
• Support AI-enabled search, machine learning, workflow automation, and agent-based capabilities for molecular discovery.
• Lead cross-site, multidisciplinary projects and coordinate communication among researchers, developers, engineers, and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, life sciences, data science, or a related field; a graduate degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D molecular discovery, including exposure to small-molecule, peptide, and large-molecule chemistry research.
• Experience partnering with scientific stakeholders and technology teams to define requirements and deliver informatics or scientific IT solutions.
• Experience with database management, data warehouses, ETL, data governance, data quality, data integration, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with chemistry and cheminformatics platforms such as KNIME, Pipeline Pilot, Schrödinger, BIOVIA, Revvity, OpenEye, ChemAxon, RDKit, or Oligokit.
• Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Spotfire.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in a relevant scientific or data science field.
• Experience with AI-enabled molecular discovery, natural-language search, AI agents, or workflow automation.
