Communications Manager (AI)

Location: Dallas, TX, United States. Hybrid employment model combining in-office work and work from home; similar office-based roles may be located in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, or London.

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 annualized, with the possibility of a higher range based on proficiency and geographic location. Equity grant included.

What you will do

• Support senior leaders with talking points, presentations, remarks, internal updates, and executive communications.
• Develop thought-leadership narratives, bylines, speaking materials, and social content around community, trust, technology, and connection.
• Translate product news and company priorities into audience-focused messaging for launches and key moments.
• Plan and deliver internal communications, all-company meetings, leadership updates, and change-management materials.
• Execute media relations through pitches, briefings, media lists, press kits, coverage tracking, and reporting.
• Build communications plans, timelines, workflows, and measurement while partnering with product, marketing, policy, legal, and people teams.

Requirements

• Approximately 5–7 years of communications experience, preferably in an agency or agency-adjacent environment.
• Strong judgment, executive presence, discretion, and the ability to advise senior leaders in fast-moving situations.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, including the ability to explain complex business, product, and technology topics clearly.
• Experience building communications strategies and managing projects from briefing through execution and measurement.
• Practical fluency with generative AI tools for research, brainstorming, drafting, editing, audience adaptation, and communications planning, with attention to accuracy, privacy, bias, confidentiality, and brand voice.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities, build trust cross-functionally, and work effectively in a hybrid environment.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting senior executives and communications for leadership, product launches, internal audiences, and external stakeholders.
• Experience supporting communications for a public company, including earnings cycles, quiet periods, and disclosure-sensitive language.
• Agency experience managing multiple accounts or workstreams and producing strong work on short notice.
