Technical Support Engineer – Mist Assurance (Networking)

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office

What you will do

• Triage and resolve customer-reported issues while maintaining a positive customer experience.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and action plans to diagnose and resolve common network issues.
• Meet defined response, resolution, and customer communication SLAs.
• Reproduce basic customer issues in test environments and analyse logs and system outputs.
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate with senior team members on resolution and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain knowledge base articles and documentation while managing multiple tickets independently.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of technical support experience with enterprise, campus, or cloud networks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective customer and team interaction.
• Basic troubleshooting skills and foundational knowledge of networking concepts, switching, VLANs, STP, LACP, and multicast.
• Understanding of ARP, ICMP, TCP/UDP, DNS, DHCP, 802.1X, EAP, wireless fundamentals, NAC, and PoE.
• Introductory knowledge of BGP and OSPF, plus a proactive willingness to learn.
• Regular attendance at an HPE office is required, averaging 2 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud solutions.
• JNCIA, CCNA, cloud, or wireless technology certifications.
