TL;DR
Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer (AI): Building and deploying AI solutions for clients across industries with an accent on robust software development, large-scale data analytics, and cloud infrastructure. Focus on optimizing computational efficiency, developing AI agents and LLM-based systems, guiding non-technical teams, and presenting technical work to scientific communities.
Location: South Korea. Travel based on client and business needs is expected at 50% or more.

What you will do
- Build, deploy, and maintain robust AI solutions and software for client organizations.
- Apply software development standards across the full software development lifecycle.
- Optimize algorithms and software designs for computational efficiency and large-scale data analytics.
- Guide consultants and non-technical teams in robust software development practices.
- Collaborate with clients, AI scientists, engineers, consultants, vendors, and third-party partners.
- Develop thought leadership, scientific papers, and conference presentations for BCG X.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in a software development environment, with consulting or strong leadership experience preferred.
- Proficiency in analytical software programming, ideally with Python, C++, or Scala.
- Experience with relational, non-relational, and streaming data structures, plus an understanding of parallel computing.
- Experience with AI agents, large language models, and at least one of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud infrastructure.
- Experience working with global and remote agile squads and interacting directly with clients.
Nice to have
- Generative AI tool development.
- Full-stack development with GraphQL, React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- DevOps experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or Terraform.
- Data technologies including SQL, Spark, or Hadoop.
- Data science and machine learning experience with Pandas or Scikit-learn.
