What you will do

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and operational resource for the International Health Certificate program.
  • Manage case progression, review pet medical records and travel documents, and identify missing information, discrepancies, and timeline risks.
  • Research domestic and international pet travel requirements and translate regulatory rules into actionable next steps.
  • Support veterinarians and veterinary professionals with complex cases, documentation questions, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor workflows and operational trends, identify quality risks, and support continuous improvement of IHC procedures and reference materials.
  • Partner with Veterinary Services, Veterinary Operations, veterinarians, and cross-functional teams to resolve cases and improve program scalability.

Requirements

  • Active Veterinary Technician license or certification, such as CVT, LVT, or RVT, in good standing.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology from a NAVTA- and/or AVMA-CVTEA-accredited program, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience supporting DVMs with International Health Certificates and at least 3 years of small-animal veterinary or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of medical record review, vaccination and microchip requirements, diagnostic testing, travel timelines, and regulatory documentation, including APHIS, GVL, and VEHCS.
  • Ability to independently research complex requirements, manage multiple time-sensitive cases, identify compliance risks, and communicate clearly with veterinary and cross-functional partners.
  • Full-time availability is required, with schedules that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays; a quiet workspace, high-speed internet, and backup Wi-Fi via hotspot are also required.

Nice to have

  • At least 1 year of experience as a lead veterinary technician, shift supervisor, or veterinary practice manager.
  • Experience with AI tools, training models, or Trello.
