Principal Software Developer (AI)

Location: Toronto, Canada. A competitive relocation package is available for qualified candidates.

Base pay: CAD 215,500–291,500 per year, plus cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive major technology initiatives end to end, including horizontal architecture layers.
• Design and implement durable, robust, scalable, and secure software solutions for critical customer problems.
• Build AI-native applications and assess the applicability, accuracy, limitations, and value of AI solutions.
• Partner with product management, architecture, operations, designers, and engineering teams to design, develop, test, and release features.
• Contribute to engineering standards, patterns, best practices, technology prototypes, patents, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Experience developing systems or software for large business environments.
• Experience designing complex distributed systems, management products, or business applications.
• Full-stack experience with AI technologies and tools applied to user experiences or backend solutions.
• Experience with AI technologies such as SageMaker, Vert.x, LangChain, large language models, prompt engineering, Dialogflow, or Python.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, SwiftUI, or Kotlin, or backend technologies such as Java, TypeScript, Spring, or Express.
• Experience with cloud computing environments such as AWS or GCP, and a BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• At least one year of experience working on teams that built AI-native applications.
• Experience working with global teams across time zones.
