Software Engineer I (Java)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions for customer-facing pet care products.
• Build and enhance full-stack functionality across microservice backends, batch jobs, and user interfaces.
• Contribute to service architecture, data architecture, infrastructure as code, deployment pipelines, and public cloud services.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, Scrum ceremonies, and adherence to enterprise coding standards.
• Join on-call rotations, troubleshoot production issues, and improve operational excellence.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of software engineering experience.
• Experience building, deploying, and testing APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot or Spring WebFlux.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or another database system.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Playwright or similar automated testing tools.
• Experience with AWS or a similar cloud platform.
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or a similar tool.
