Senior Software Engineer - Release (C++)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; hybrid office attendance with onsite work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, plus optional presence on Monday and Friday

Base salary: $243,290–$295,250 USD per year

What you will do

• Design and develop backend services and automation for release and experimentation workflows.
• Build release systems for desktop, mobile, console, VR, and server platforms.
• Improve C++ engine telemetry, feature rollout, and automatic abort capabilities.
• Develop progressive client and server rollouts, regression detection, and automated rollback systems.
• Work with engineering customers to turn pain points into reliable, flexible, safe-by-default tooling.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building backend services with C#, Python, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
• Comfort working with C++.
• Familiarity with telemetry instrumentation and observability practices.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a similar field.
• United States work authorization is required; future H-1B sponsorship may not be supported.
