Staff Software Engineer (.NET)

Salary: $112,680–$140,800 per year

What you will do

• Lead modernization of legacy .NET Framework applications to modern .NET and cloud-native architectures.
• Design scalable, modular services and RESTful APIs for high-volume auction, logistics, titles, payments, and yard operations.
• Decompose monolithic applications into well-defined domains and services in partnership with Product and Architecture.
• Implement modern data-access patterns, controlled schema migrations, and resilient application behavior.
• Establish standards for code quality, testing, maintainability, security, observability, and distributed tracing.
• Lead complex technical discovery, mentor engineers, and coordinate Level 3 incidents with Infrastructure, Security, Data, and Operations teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including modernization of large-scale applications.
• Experience operating at Staff or Principal Engineer level and influencing architecture and technical direction.
• Deep expertise in C#, .NET, .NET Core, modern application development, RESTful APIs, and service-oriented or domain-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience modernizing legacy systems and databases in production, with strong relational database and data-access knowledge.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and cloud-native application patterns.
• Must be legally entitled to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-throughput, transaction-heavy operational systems.
• Exposure to event-driven or asynchronous architectures.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments.
• Familiarity with front-end modernization, including React, in full-stack initiatives.
