Data Engineer (Clearance Required)

Location: Remote within the United States; occasional travel to the DC Metro area may be required for onsite client meetings. Preference is given to candidates in the Washington, DC Metro area. Foreign work locations and foreign IP addresses are not permitted.

Salary: $81,499–$167,644 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for large-scale federal data systems.
• Develop and optimize cloud-based data architectures using AWS or Azure services such as S3, Redshift, RDS, Databricks, and Synapse.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from government and third-party sources.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, availability, and performance across data systems.
• Support ATO, RMF, federal security requirements, documentation, and audit activities.
• Collaborate with DevOps and cross-functional teams on CI/CD, infrastructure as code, deployment automation, requirements analysis, and Agile delivery.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• At least 2 years of experience designing and supporting enterprise data solutions in federal or regulated environments.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Azure SQL.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data integration, data warehousing, reporting, and analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern data services.
• Ability to work from within the United States; foreign locations and foreign IP addresses are blocked.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience supporting federal or DoD programs, preferably DCSA.
• Experience with security, governance, compliance, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
