Staff Software Engineer – DevTest / QA Automation

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks, libraries, utilities, and reusable components.
• Develop large-scale functional, integration, regression, API, and system-level test suites for SaaS applications, services, integrations, and distributed systems.
• Use AI coding assistants and agents for code analysis, test generation, debugging, and automation development, while validating their output through engineering practices.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, runners, build systems, deployment infrastructure, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot automation failures, application defects, environment issues, and production incidents using logs, metrics, traces, database queries, and code-level debugging.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product, DevOps, operations, and QA teams to improve testability, reliability, observability, performance, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering, SDET, DevTest, or QA automation experience with strong hands-on programming skills.
• Proficiency in one or more languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience building automation frameworks, test libraries, reusable testing components, and infrastructure for APIs, backend services, web applications, distributed systems, or enterprise software.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, CI/CD, cloud environments, debugging, databases, version control, test design, regression testing, and automation reliability.
• Ability to independently expand test coverage and support production issue reproduction or troubleshooting outside standard working hours when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise SaaS, IT management, cybersecurity, endpoint management, RMM, or other complex software platforms.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST-assured, pytest, JUnit, TestNG, SQL, or relational databases.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, service virtualization, contract testing, or distributed-system testing.
• Experience using AI coding agents for code generation, test generation, codebase analysis, debugging, refactoring, and test optimization.
