Compliance Manager

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid working with face-to-face collaboration in the Berlin office two days a week

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of the group compliance framework, including policies, procedures, the Compliance Management System, and the Code of Conduct.
• Oversee compliance risk assessments and strengthen financial crime and compliance controls across the group.
• Drive compliance monitoring, testing, assurance activities, remediation, and reporting to senior management.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on anti-bribery and corruption, international economic sanctions, human rights violations, CSRD, and related regulatory requirements.
• Advise senior stakeholders, deliver compliance training and awareness programs, and promote a culture of integrity and accountability.
• Lead complex compliance investigations, whistleblower cases, compliance reviews, and strategic compliance initiatives while managing and developing the Berlin-based compliance team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or related functions, preferably in international and fast-paced environments.
• Experience managing and developing small teams.
• Strong expertise in compliance frameworks, anti-bribery and corruption, international economic sanctions, CSRD, and governance requirements.
• Experience independently leading compliance programs, risk assessments, investigations, policy implementation, remediation, and issue resolution.
• Fluent English is required; German proficiency is desirable.
