Sr. Manager, Cryopreservation Operations (Cell Therapy Manufacturing): Leading cryopreservation, MOI, and QCCB operations for personalized cell therapy across clinical and commercial requirements with an accent on regulatory compliance, manufacturing efficiency, and capacity. Focus on developing high-performing operations teams, driving continuous improvement, and coordinating GMP production with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Operations Support.

Location: Raritan, New Jersey, United States of America; on-site plant operations with up to 10% domestic or international travel.

Base pay: $122,000–$208,250 per year.

What you will do

  • Lead cryopreservation, MOI, and QCCB operations for personalized cell therapy supporting clinical and commercial requirements.
  • Set the long-term operations strategy and support the facility’s operational ramp-up.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality, value creation, performance, capacity, technology utilization, and cost competitiveness.
  • Lead managers and operations personnel, including hiring, coaching, mentoring, and talent development.
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Operations Support to execute manufacturing activities.
  • Foster regulatory compliance and strong environmental, health, and safety performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or university degree required; a science or engineering degree is preferred.
  • At least eight years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) production environment.
  • Experience leading teams, developing talent, and supporting diversity and inclusion.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Resilience and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Nice to have

  • Experience in sterile biological or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies, preferably with Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with electronic batch records or ERP systems.
