Application Developer (Vue/Java)

Location: Dahlgren, Virginia, United States; onsite

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 annually

Defense technology services supporting Government and Department of Defense programs, including web-based applications and systems engineering tools.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, test, modernize, and sustain mission-critical web applications supporting Government requirements.
• Convert existing Java classes into TypeScript and develop Vue components to replace legacy Java frames.
• Develop and maintain Oracle procedures, functions, triggers, and database documentation.
• Troubleshoot application, connectivity, user-access, certificate, and trust-store issues.
• Perform software development and web application STIG activities and support security requirements in classified environments.
• Collaborate with Government stakeholders and technical teams through peer programming, Agile ceremonies, demonstrations, reports, and technical briefings.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and work onsite in Dahlgren, Virginia.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years with Java.
• Experience with Git repositories, Agile software development, peer programming, and Oracle databases.
• Experience with development environments such as Visual Studio, JDeveloper, NetBeans, or Eclipse.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline with 2+ years of technical experience, or 6+ years of technical experience as a substitute.
• Cybersecurity Workforce certification and an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one are required; clearance sponsorship may be available.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, Vue.js, Vuetify, legacy Java application modernization, and Angular.
• Experience with Oracle procedures, functions, triggers, and DoD cybersecurity compliance.
• Experience creating technical documentation, SOPs, installation instructions, migration instructions, and cutover plans.
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
