Health & Safety Coordinator (Construction)

What you will do

• Promote a proactive health and safety culture on a large-scale data center construction project.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and enforce project-specific safety strategies, programmes and plans.
• Coordinate site access, security, induction, first aid, welfare and emergency arrangements.
• Conduct audits and inspections of site conditions and contractor activities.
• Monitor and report health and safety performance using leading and lagging indicators.
• Coordinate safety training, workshops and awareness briefings while supporting the Construction Manager with statutory duties.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Health and Safety Management, or extensive experience on active construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of construction health and safety principles and proven safety discipline skills.
• Experience developing behavioural safety programmes.
• Strong verbal and written communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to communicate with and influence site workforce personnel.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
