Regional Payroll Specialist

What you will do

• Manage monthly payroll cycles across multiple countries, entities, and employment arrangements.
• Prepare and validate payroll inputs, including salaries, new hires, terminations, bonuses, allowances, deductions, and leave.
• Review payroll calculations, reports, reconciliations, and HR and Finance records to identify discrepancies before approval.
• Coordinate with local payroll vendors, EOR partners, HR, Finance, Legal, and external stakeholders.
• Manage statutory payroll requirements, employee queries, onboarding, offboarding, final pay calculations, and required documentation.
• Build and improve payroll SOPs, controls, calendars, reporting, and payroll or HR systems as the organisation expands into new markets.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on payroll experience, ideally across multiple countries or entities.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll operations, including inputs, calculations, reconciliation, and statutory requirements.
• Experience working with external payroll providers or EOR partners.
• Strong attention to detail when handling sensitive employee and compensation data.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and the ability to manage multiple payroll calendars, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; English proficiency is required.

• Experience supporting payroll across Asia, Europe, the UK, or the US.
• Experience in a fast-growing technology company or international startup.
• Experience implementing or migrating payroll or HRIS systems.
• Familiarity with multi-entity payroll, EOR arrangements, distributed teams, payroll audits, statutory reporting, or payroll accounting.
