Sr. Analyst, Payroll (Americas Payroll): Processing and optimizing end-to-end payroll operations for the USA, Canada, and Latin America with an accent on payroll compliance, reconciliations, accounting close, and stakeholder collaboration. Focus on automating manual workflows with AI, ML, and RPA, resolving gross-to-net variances, and strengthening scalable payroll controls.
Location: Cork, Ireland; hybrid schedule with on-site work 2 days a week

What you will do
- Process accurate and timely end-to-end payroll for the Americas region, covering the USA, Canada, and Latin America.
- Collect and validate payroll inputs, including salaries, bonuses, benefits, allowances, and deductions, and perform pre- and post-payroll reconciliations.
- Complete payroll fiscal close activities, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis through to general ledger bookings.
- Maintain compliance with payroll taxes, statutory deductions, labor regulations, benefits requirements, and internal controls across the Americas.
- Partner with People Services, HRIS, Compensation & Benefits, Stock Administration, Finance, and external vendors to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
- Drive payroll transformation by eliminating manual workflows and implementing scalable, automated solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a senior payroll analyst role, including US payroll experience; Canada and Latin America experience is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent payroll certification.
- Strong understanding of US and Canadian payroll taxes, statutory deductions, and labor regulations.
- Hands-on experience with Workday and/or Dayforce, plus advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and large datasets.
- Experience with payroll reconciliations, gross-to-net variance investigations, month-end close, journal entries, and cost analysis.
- Interest in applying AI, ML, and RPA to redesign payroll workflows, reduce manual touchpoints, and generate workforce-planning insights.
