Senior Pricing Analyst (Insurance)

Location: London, UK; hybrid working with attendance in the office up to two to three days per week

hirify.global is an insurance business providing pricing and underwriting services across its UK retail portfolio.

What you will do

• Design and manipulate data models and produce standardised data tables for technical pricing models.
• Build and maintain end-to-end pricing models predicting claims frequency, claims severity, conversion, cancellation, and other customer behaviours.
• Use GLMs and machine-learning techniques to develop technical pricing solutions.
• Monitor modelled and observed performance, manage reporting cycles, and determine when models require revision.
• Provide pricing insights and recommendations to the Chief Underwriting Officer, Heads of Underwriting, and other senior stakeholders.
• Support new cloud data warehouses, data-visualisation products, pricing software, and the development of less experienced analysts.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience and proven success in a similar pricing role.
• Practical application of advanced statistical skills in a business environment.
• Experience building technical pricing models end to end.
• Strong data analysis and manipulation skills, including Excel and SQL.
• Knowledge of Python, Emblem, and SAS, with strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Commercial Lines and/or Personal Lines insurance across different distribution channels.
• Relevant professional qualifications or progress towards them.
