Head of Payments

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain the payment operations framework for a Central Bank of Ireland-regulated Payment Institution.
• Own payment services, including physical and virtual debit card issuance and payment transactions through cards and credit transfers.
• Run the Cash Account and T212 Card across all channels, including settlements, operating accounts, and daily reconciliations.
• Manage issuer processor and card scheme relationships, chargebacks, disputes, fraud notifications, and operational or security incidents.
• Prepare dashboards and detailed reports for the Board and global governance committees.
• Lead and develop the Payments team while advising product, compliance, risk, fraud, and technology teams on new initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of senior payments operations experience within EEA or Irish-regulated financial services.
• Experience with card issuing operations, including issuer processors, card schemes, and card production suppliers.
• Practical experience with payment settlement, funding models, daily reconciliation, and related controls.
• Experience serving retail clients or consumers.
• In-depth knowledge of European and Irish legislation, regulations, and guidance covering payment services and electronic money.
• A degree in Finance, Business, Technology, or a related field is desirable; QFA, ACCA, PMP/Prince, Certified Payments Professional, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
