Senior Security Researcher (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the USA; occasional travel may be required.

Salary: $85,000–$120,000 per year, plus potential bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Research in-the-wild exploits, vulnerability exploitation techniques, malicious payloads, and intrusion behavior.
• Build tracking systems and improve detection capabilities using existing and new data sources.
• Reverse-engineer exploits and extend static and dynamic analysis frameworks to automate research tasks.
• Develop classification frameworks and host- and network-based signatures for threat hunting, detection, and prevention.
• Produce threat intelligence reports with actionable mitigation and detection guidance.
• Brief technical findings to customers and collaborate with intelligence, mitigation, and product teams.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of exploitation techniques affecting userspace and kernel-level vulnerabilities, network services, and web applications.
• Solid understanding of at least two operating system platforms, including Microsoft Windows.
• Profound knowledge of reverse-engineering tools and processes, including disassemblers, decompilers, debuggers, malware unpacking, and code-logic reconstruction.
• Programming and scripting experience, particularly with Python.
• Ability to use LLMs and AI-assisted tools for vulnerability research and exploit analysis while independently validating findings.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills; a master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience is expected.
