Senior Project Manager (Substations / Power Infrastructure Construction)

What you will do

• Lead onsite project delivery and assess progress while ensuring safe work practices.
• Coordinate snagging activities, schedules, and engagement with clients, consultants, contractors, and delivery partners.
• Manage project procedures, monitor compliance, and implement process improvements with the client.
• Lead progress and problem-solving meetings, communicate project impacts, and resolve issues proactively.
• Manage the substation and power infrastructure workstream across design, procurement, construction, testing, energisation, and handover.

Requirements

• 12–15 years of relevant project delivery experience managing complex electrical or power infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience with substations, preferably HV/EHV substations, grid connections, and transmission or distribution infrastructure.
• Experience with GCC or Middle East utilities, authorities, and approval processes.
• Technical understanding of HV infrastructure, transformers, switchgear, protection and control systems, and grid interfaces.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary interfaces, contractors, consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, and specialist electrical contractors.
• Strong programme controls, stakeholder management, communication, leadership, schedule, risk, change, procurement, and reporting skills.

Nice to have

• Data center or mission-critical project experience.
• Strong data center electrical infrastructure experience combined with HV or substation knowledge.
