What you will do

• Develop and refine an automated process for recovering CFRP production scrap in a robotic cell.
• Develop vision systems or sensor-based solutions to detect, identify, and categorize irregular scrap pieces.
• Define technical requirements and improve robotic workflows for consistent material handling and placement.
• Analyze recycled material properties and map suitable secondary applications and components.
• Test and validate the automated demonstrator for technical feasibility and efficiency.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• In the final stages of studies and available to begin a 30 HP master's thesis during the Spring semester of 2027.
• Interest in or prior knowledge of automation and robotics is a significant merit.
• Must pass security vetting under current security-protection regulations.
• Additional citizenship obligations may apply if security clearance is required.
