Could AI Engineer (Compliance/Legal Tech)

What you will do

• Support compliance policy reviews, file delivery, remediation tracking, product-launch requirements, and related operational activities.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, the MLRO, and cross-functional stakeholders on compliance and regulatory initiatives.
• Design and implement AI-driven tools that improve the efficiency and scalability of legal and compliance operations.
• Build intelligent systems using LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, long-term memory, tool use, subagents, and multi-agent architectures.
• Develop benchmark datasets, annotation strategies, evaluation frameworks, and performance metrics for legal and compliance AI systems.
• Research and prototype solutions while improving retrieval quality, latency, groundedness, factuality, and task success.

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant experience in compliance technology, legal technology, regulatory technology, or software development supporting legal or compliance functions.
• Bachelor’s degree required; AI, Computer Science, Engineering, Law, or a related background is preferred.
• Hands-on experience building production RAG systems with embeddings, vector databases, hybrid search, reranking, chunking, preprocessing, and multimodal parsing.
• Experience with Self-RAG, Corrective RAG, adaptive retrieval, multi-hop reasoning, prompt engineering, context engineering, memory, planning, tool use, MCP, and multi-agent systems.
• Ability to conduct independent research, solve ambiguous problems, rapidly prototype solutions, and communicate clearly.

• Bilingual English/Mandarin communication skills for coordination with overseas partners and stakeholders.
