Senior Designer, Events (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid role for candidates located near Long Beach, California; some work must be performed on site. Travel and work outside conventional hours may be required for installations and live events. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain required ITAR authorizations.

Base salary: $130,000–$235,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop experiential concepts and creative direction for events, conferences, demonstrations, executive gatherings, and other live experiences.
• Define the narrative, user journey, visual language, spatial expression, key moments, and emotional arc for each experience.
• Lead multidisciplinary development across graphics, spatial design, content, motion, interactive elements, demonstrations, branded objects, and environmental details.
• Direct agencies, designers, fabricators, production partners, and internal teams through layouts, renderings, prototypes, materials, graphics, and installation.
• Build modular event systems and repeatable kits of parts while maintaining a distinctive brand expression.
• Participate in site visits, production reviews, installations, and live events to resolve design questions and maintain creative quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8–11 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating experiential concepting, creative direction, narrative thinking, and executed work.
• Experience translating business, audience, and brand strategy into distinctive physical experiences.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams and directing agencies, fabricators, content partners, and production specialists.
• Strong knowledge of spatial experience, user journeys, graphics, materials, objects, content, technology, event production, fabrication, AV, logistics, and installation.
• Ability to work hands-on across concepting, design development, vendor direction, budgeting, scheduling, and on-site execution.

Nice to have

• Experience in technology, aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial design, or another technically complex category.
• Genuine interest in aerospace, defense, or national security.
