Visual Merchandiser (Seasonal) (Retail)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite at the American Girl Retail flagship location

Salary: $18–$21.15 per hour

What you will do

• Execute display window changes, merchandise changes, planogram layouts, and graphic updates.
• Create dynamic displays using dolls and complementary products while maintaining current product knowledge.
• Support new product launches, seasonal floor sets, floor changes, and daily display maintenance.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards in line with the brand’s vision.
• Prioritize tasks, troubleshoot product availability issues, and stock merchandise when needed.
• Build cooperative relationships with store staff, management, corporate partners, and customers.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in retail merchandising, retail, customer service, or a related field.
• Knowledge of general visual merchandising principles, with strong attention to construction and detail.
• Ability to work independently and quickly within a team setting.
• Ability to lift and push at least 50 pounds.
• Availability for a flexible schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Manual skills in doll styling, straight-blade cutting, and minor assembly are preferred.
