TL;DR
Software Developer (PHP/Laravel): Building and maintaining the backend of web and cross-platform mobile applications with an accent on clean code, testing, database performance, and production reliability. Focus on refactoring legacy modules, designing and deploying Laravel services, troubleshooting live systems, and supporting AWS and CI/CD operations.
Location: Remote within the United Kingdom, with a few in-person collaboration days per year likely to take place in Preston Brook.
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00.

What you will do
- Build, test, and deploy PHP Laravel and JavaScript functionality for web and mobile clients.
- Translate requirements into maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to sprint planning.
- Refactor legacy modules, optimize database queries, and maintain live production systems.
- Document functionality, participate in peer code reviews, and share design-pattern best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Support AWS configuration and deployment activities.
Requirements
- Proficiency in PHP 8.0+, Laravel 12+, JavaScript, MySQL, Git, and AWS.
- Experience contributing to software projects and working independently with strong problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
- Experience with cross-platform mobile applications.
- Knowledge of Vue and CI/CD pipelines using Circle, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Experience refactoring production systems and live database structures.
