Multimedia Journalist Reporter

What you will do

• Report news stories for digital, broadcast, and social media platforms.
• Research events, review public records and reference materials, and conduct interviews to develop accurate stories.
• Pitch locally relevant story ideas and coordinate priorities with producers and news managers.
• Shoot and edit video, write copy, and produce on-camera reports for multiple platforms.
• Interact with viewers and users through social media.
• Revise content to meet editorial standards, production-quality requirements, and timing constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Fluency in English and excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad-lib when required.
• At least two years of experience in news reporting, depending on market size.
• Superior live on-air presence and strong journalistic judgment.
• Proficiency with computers, mobile phones, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks.
