Writer, Daily Newsletter (Weekend)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid workplace. Local candidates are preferred, but remote applications will be considered.

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year, with final offers based on experience.

hirify.global publishes a flagship daily business newsletter read by more than 4 million people and produces content for social platforms including Instagram, X, and TikTok.

What you will do

• Write at least one story per day for the flagship daily newsletter on a weekend schedule.
• Produce a weekly market recap and week-ahead preview.
• Develop story ideas and pitches for the newsletter.
• Write X and Instagram posts when major news breaks.
• Maintain the continuity and editorial quality of the newsletter and social accounts through the weekend.

Requirements

• At least three years of writing experience in a newsroom or media environment.
• Experience covering business, markets, or world events is preferred.
• Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
• Comfort working under tight deadlines and using humor in writing.
• Fluency with online publishing tools and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with social platforms and the ability to distill news into concise posts.
