Senior Financial Statutory/GAAP Accountant

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home; office locations are Hudson Yards, New York City, or Holmdel, New Jersey. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $82,770–$135,975 annually, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, reconciliations, and analyses for monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Prepare regulatory and audited statutory and GAAP financial statements, workpapers, and supporting documentation.
• Support internal and external audits and assist with audit completion activities.
• Prepare Board and Audit Committee materials, including account variance research and documentation.
• Act as the subject-matter expert for Oracle Ledger and related module maintenance questions.
• Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen accounting and reporting controls.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience with GAAP, statutory accounting, and Oracle Ledger.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, or equivalent work experience.
• Understanding of statutory and/or GAAP accounting.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Oracle Ledger, and SmartView reporting.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and projects within defined deadlines.
• Detail-oriented approach to general ledger data, account reconciliations, and financial statement workpapers.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Regulatory or public accounting experience.
