Operations Representative (GIC)

Location: Flexible hybrid schedule in Toronto at 483 Bay Street, moving to the Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway in approximately late 2026. Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Salary: CAD 45,000–60,000 in total annual cash compensation, including base salary and target bonus.

Fidelity Clearing Canada is an independent Canadian clearing broker and custodian providing trade execution, clearing, custody, and back-office support to brokerage firms.

What you will do

• Review and validate daily Guaranteed Investment Certificate order activity.
• Process GIC settlements, CDS wire payments, purchase orders, corrections, cancellations, entitlements, and maturity payments.
• Reconcile commissions and coordinate timely distributions to clients and advisors.
• Support GIC issuer onboarding and ongoing servicing activities.
• Resolve inquiries for clients, advisors, issuers, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and efficiency.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a brokerage or financial services environment.
• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
• Foundational knowledge of Guaranteed Investment Certificates.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Current authorization to work in Canada is required.
