Focus on coordinating cyber incident response, developing detection and response playbooks, mapping attack campaigns, and aligning security controls with NIST and FedRAMP requirements.

What you will do

  • Provide technical and operational support for a federal customer's Security Operations Center.
  • Monitor enterprise security events and detect threats across on-premises infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Lead and coordinate incident response with ISSOs, system owners, and cybersecurity personnel.
  • Develop and refine incident response procedures, protocols, and playbooks.
  • Perform forensic analysis, log correlation, campaign mapping, and root-cause analysis.
  • Recommend improvements to detection, response, mitigation, and continuous monitoring capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two to six years of cybersecurity experience.
  • Experience analyzing, monitoring, and reporting cybersecurity threats and investigation findings.
  • Knowledge of SOC monitoring methods, intrusion scoping, remediation, and security operations.
  • Experience aligning artifacts, assessments, and system configurations with NIST, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and FedRAMP requirements.
  • CISSP or an equivalent cybersecurity certification, such as Security+.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting federal contracts.
  • Experience coordinating with system owners, ISSOs, architecture teams, and cybersecurity leadership.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical risks for executive and government stakeholders.
